Brimham Rocks - a social walk

Everyone is welcome to join us at Brimham Rocks for a free social walk led by our volunteers.

This level gradient, circular walk will take you through the rocks, woodland and heather moorland across the north part of the site. See views across Nidderdale, Fellbeck and over the Vale of York towards the White Horse at Kelburn. Take a detour to see the 'Balancing Act' stones and return back through some of the main rocks including the Idol, Druids Writing Desk and Dancing Bear. Meet your guide at 10:30am at the refreshment kiosk, a 10 minute walk from the car park.

The walk is approximately 3 miles long and will last around 1 hour 30 minutes, finishing at the refreshment kiosk for a well earned hot drink. This route has a mixture of uneven gravel paths and narrow and muddy sections with exposed tree roots. We recommend walking boots and waterproof clothing. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead.
